Some critics of anarchism take the following line of argument. They argue that if anarchism was a viable form of organization we would see developed anarchys around the world. Or, put another way, had anarchism been an effective method of social organization it would have replaced governments. This evolutionary argument is interesting, but is ultimately flawed.
