Is Antony Flew an Unwilling Pawn in Several Theists' Power Play?

I found this post at Pharyngula about Antony Flew, a once great philosopher - turned theist (though I've heard he would actually be defined as a deist - one who believes in a "creator" god, not a "personal" god), who seems to be a pawn for intelligent design advocates.
